Westinghouse eVinci Microreactor
Westinghouse asked us to build a physical engineering model of its eVinci microreactor. The cutaway makes internal components visible for a closer look.
Showing what is inside
Showing what is inside The cutaway gives viewers a look at components that would normally be hidden inside the reactor. Different colors separate the internal parts and make their arrangement easier to follow. We worked from Westinghouse’s reference images and design information, building the model at approximately 1:7 scale on a wheeled display base.

More views of the model
Opening a cutaway view of the microreactor
The approximately 1:7 Westinghouse eVinci model uses a cutaway to show components that are normally inside the reactor. Different colors help distinguish the parts and make their arrangement easier to follow. Built from reference images and design information, the model sits on a wheeled base for display. This kind of engineering model is useful when a product’s internal layout is central to the explanation and a closed exterior would hide the story.
