Choose a model by the conversation it needs to support. Architectural models focus on buildings and their setting. Development models bring streets, lots, parks and amenities together before construction. Industrial models show the arrangement of equipment and facilities, while a trade show display also needs to suit the booth, packing and repeated setup.
Terrain and golf models put the landscape into a shared view. Museum models interpret a subject for visitors, with viewing height, labels, lighting and protection considered alongside the piece itself. These categories overlap: a resort can need both detailed buildings and broad terrain, and a facility model can combine architecture with removable sections that reveal its systems.
A useful starting brief names the audience, display location and features that must be legible. Share the plans, photographs, renderings or 3D files you have, even if the design is still developing. The examples above show different approaches; our guide to model uses and types explains simple mass models, detailed models and the choices between them.
Let’s talk about the model you have in mind.
