Zoo Interchange Civil Model

This model of the interchange centering around the Milwaukee Zoo is a complex model covering a lot of areas. In order to save money and still show context, we designed the model to be part 3d construction and part aerial photographs.

All of the buildings that were directly affected by the construction were built in 3D but the outlying communities how also had a vested interest in this project were shown as 2D photos enlarged and placed on the model. The last photos show this model being exhibited on display at the county fair in Milwaukee WI. These public relations models have been highly effective in getting the word out and helping the community get behind these difficult projects.

Military Model For Urban Assault Training

War games are no joke. This scale model shows an actual urban assault training ground. The model is used to stage teams of soldiers for training exercises. The military is seldom about large land attacks anymore. Our soldiers need experience in smaller teams that know what to do in an urban environment.

We toured this facility when we were asked to build this training and staging model. Each of the buildings has several surprises from pop-up enemies and civilians to spider holes and booby traps. In order to have a well-trained military, we are constantly upgrading our training facilities.

Land Development

How do you graphically demonstrate new developments in a large and engaging display and keep it all within a tight budget? Call on Archetype 3D to help. This model is not about clearly defined designs because they did not yet exist. To engage an audience in what “could” happen at this location, we were asked to come up with a cost-effective model showing the potential that is being planned.

Our solution was to build just a few representative buildings showing the potential architecture, square footage and height but with no other details. We internally lit these models and placed them on a large printed aerial photograph of the site. Not only did it provide context and a conversation piece, it fits well within the required budget.
