Determining Scale.
This page is a guide to help you decide on the best scale for you
upcoming project. Our models are made in a precise scale, determined by
the scope of the project, the level of detail required and the
available display space. Scales range from very small to larger than
life size. Examples and functions of common scales are listed below.

You can find out the size of your model by drawing a rectangle on your site plan that includes the scope of work you would like to see on your model. Measure the length and width, in feet, of your site. Divide those numbers by the scale you would like to use to find out how many inches your model will be. Example: Your site shows an area that is 300 feet by 800 feet. 300 feet divided by 8 (for 1/8th inch scale) equals 37.5, while 800 feet divided by 8 equals 100. The 1/8” scale model of your site will be 37.5 inches by 100 inches. Call us and will be happy to help you decide the scale and scope for your project.
