Since 1984, Archetype 3D has been building models in Colorado. We started making models for the ski industry and for residential developers within our state. We have now gained national recognition with our work being exhibited throughout the US.

Along with the high tech equipment such as laser cutters and 3d printers we pride ourselves on our ability to solve problems and guide clients through the maze of traditional and modern model making techniques.

Archetype’s staff is composed of college graduates in industrial design, model building, architecture and fine art. They bring together their specialized training in utilizing modern machinery and traditional hands-on model building to create work suited to each client’s sales goals.

Craig and Diane Martin are the founders and owners of Archetype 3D. Craig earned his degree in set design and technical theatre and worked for several professional theatre companies in New York City. The models built for his set design work inspired the creation of Archetype 3D.

Diane earned a degree in fine arts and worked in the art industry in New York. As Archetype 3D’s creative director she oversees the work and sets the standard for quality and creativity.
